About Overbrook West Neighbors (OWN). Building a Stronger Overbrook. Overbrook West Neighbors (OWN) is a nonprofit community development corporation driven by a mission to uplift the Overbrook community. We collaborate with residents, businesses and stakeholders to create a neighborhood that thrives economically, socially and culturally.

Mission. To enhance commerce on the Upper Lancaster Avenue Business Corridor, encourage investment in BIPOC small business in Overbrook, improve the quality of life for our neighbors, support Overbrook’s public institutions and serve as the RCO (Registered Community Organization) addressing all zoning concerns in our community.

Vision. We envision an Overbrook where residents are engaged, proud of their history, and actively participate in civic processes. A community where all neighbors, including renters and homeowners, contribute to defining the area’s economic, educational, and cultural identity.
